Class Description

This sewing class is designed for students aged 8-12 years. With small class sizes capped at six students, each child receives personalised, hands-on instruction in essential sewing tools and foundational machine-sewing skills.

Every student will work on their own sewing machine and be provided with a thoughtfully curated sewing kit to use during class and take home, ensuring they can continue creating beyond the studio.

Your Teacher

Jane is a qualified teacher and experienced sewing business owner, known for her ability to meet children at their level and adapt projects to suit each student’s individual skills and interests. Her love of sewing began when her grandmother taught her as a young girl—sparking a passion that has grown for over 30 years.

With a long-held dream finally realised, Jane founded her sewing school to inspire the next generation of makers. Her classes are engaging, confidence-building, and designed to be something students genuinely look forward to each week.

Where?

Classes are held at a local sewing studio at 314A Oxley Road, Graceville. Jane will take over this space at the end of December, transforming it into a cosy, creative studio designed especially for sewing classes.

The studio is conveniently located near cafes and parks. A bench is available outside for parents who wish to stay nearby, although most students enjoy the independence of having their own creative space during class.

Cancellation & Make-Up Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If your child is unable to attend a class, a make-up session can be arranged; however, refunds are not available for missed classes.

If a class needs to be cancelled by Jane for any reason, you’ll be offered either a make-up class or a prorated refund—whichever suits you best.
