Class Description

This machine sewing class is designed for teens aged 13+ years who are ready to build practical, transferable sewing skills in a supportive and creative environment. With small class sizes capped at six students, each participant receives personalised, hands-on instruction while learning how to confidently use a sewing machine and essential sewing tools.

Students will develop foundational machine-sewing skills while working on age-appropriate projects that encourage creativity, independence and problem-solving. Each teen will work on their own sewing machine and be provided with a thoughtfully curated sewing kit to use during class and take home.

Your Teacher

Jane is a qualified teacher and experienced sewing business owner, known for her ability to engage young people and tailor projects to suit individual skill levels and interests. Her love of sewing began when her grandmother taught her as a young girl—sparking a passion that has grown for over 30 years.

With a long-held dream finally realised, Jane founded her sewing school to inspire confident, capable makers. Her teen classes are structured yet relaxed, designed to build real skills while allowing students to express their own style and creativity.

Where?

Classes are held at a local sewing studio at 314A Oxley Road, Graceville. Jane will be taking over this space at the end of December, transforming it into a cosy, creative studio designed especially for sewing classes.

The studio is conveniently located near cafes and parks. Parents are welcome to stay nearby, though most students enjoy the independence of having their own space to focus and create.

Cancellation & Make-Up Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If a class is missed, a make-up session can be arranged; however, refunds are not available for missed classes.

If a class needs to be cancelled by Jane for any reason, you’ll be offered either a make-up class or a prorated refund—whichever suits you best.
